Earth Hour is creating awareness, educating the public of switching off unessential light.
I told you some might be in living room watching tv, but in their room, the light, fan, air cond and computer is still on. Earth Hour is to create awareness to switch off unused electricity. Switching off is everyday thingy.
I totally agree of the candle thingy, but do I or we use candle this often like everyday or every month. The answer is NO. In fact, I feel that burning incense, joss stick, praying paper, and candle every month or everyday create more pollution than just lighting candle one day. Especially this month in the Chinese Calender. I don't mean only the Taoist did that, so does Catholic, Hinduism. Imagine all the carbon emission of burning this things.
No hard feelings, this is just merely my personal opinion.

不过伤心的事，本人家附近（槟岛）这里，有蛮多的人都没响应这活动tim。我还以为附近会暗暗酱蛮有气氛的。竟发现隔壁家，对面的都亮亮的。 =.=
